The Making of a Jewel

Every Tippy Taste jewel begins with something small: a stone, a line, a reference. It is drawn and refined, modelled in wax and cast in solid gold, then set and finished. Each piece is designed in Miami and crafted in New York, made to order.

MEET THE DESIGNER

Behind Tippy Taste

“From Byzantine ornament to Rococo excess, jewelry has always been a language of self-expression.”

Tippy Hung

Tippy Taste is the work of one designer, Tippy Hung. Born in Taiwan and raised between Singapore, China and Paris, she studied at Parsons and the Fashion Institute of Technology, and founded Tippy Taste in 2014.

Today she designs in Miami, drawn to old-world forms, sculptural gold and unusual natural gemstones. Each piece is crafted in New York.
